Seton Hall University is a private Roman Catholic University. It is the oldest Diocesan University in the United States. It was founded in 1856 and was named in honor of Ana Elizabeth Seton, who was engaged in educational and charitable activities and was the first of two natives of the United States whom the Catholic Church declared Holy and canonized in 1975. Ana Elizabeth Seton is esteemed as the patron of Catholic Schools.

Science Festival 2016 ended at the University. In the framework of it various events aimed to develop and to popularize science, to attract young people to scientific researches, to raise the prestige of science were held.

In the program of the Festival there were conferences, seminars, round tables, master-classes, trainings and workshops, discussion clubs and panel discussions, brain-rings, webinars, guest lectures by leading scientists, presentations of scientific publications, exhibitions-expositions, meetings of scientific circles etc.

We thank to all the members of Grinchenko’s community - to scientific-pedagogical, scientific, pedagogical workers, students, PhD students, young scientists of the University, who joined Science Festival and took part at proposed events.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.

The benefits for our University as a member of the Association are as follows:

- We get access to Association services and benefit from their work.

- We can add our voice to the debate on adult education and actively support the advocacy work for adult education in Europe.

- We join a network of more than 120 associations from across Europe and more than 120 associations from across Europe.

- We can join EAEA events and share information and experiences in the educational issues.
