From 05 to 09 May 2025, within the framework of a bilateral agreement between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University and Technical University of Applied Sciences (Wildau, Germany) and with the support of the DAAD Eastern Partnership project, Head of the Department of Germanic Philology Rusudan Makhachashvili, Doctor of Science in Philology, Professor, participated in the International Week events as part of an international team of guest lecturers and experts from 10 European countries.
Within the framework of the International Week, Rusudan Makhachashvili delivered a series of lectures on “Interoperable digital skills for intercultural communication”. Working meetings were also held with the leadership of the partner university, experts in the field of teaching German and English in an intercultural environment, and the development of digital skills based on augmented and virtual reality technologies. It will result in joining Grinchenko University specialists the activities of the ongoing Ukraine Digital project supported by DAAD. The international experts got acquainted with applied technical teaching formats in the programmes of the University of Wildau, including robotic solution laboratories, a maker centre for the implementation of interdisciplinary digital projects by students and teachers. An innovation was the use of AI technologies to manage the library resources of the University of Wildau.
The integrated international team of specialists has created an effective environment for exchanging ideas and planning joint projects, finding solutions for funding, not only with German partners, but also with colleagues from Finland, the UK, Belgium and Poland. Next academic year, students from Grinchenko University will be able to join the international environment of the University of Wildau as part of the mobility programme.
