Anna Kravchuk, a student enrolled in the Media Production educational program at the Faculty of Journalism of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, has successfully completed a semester-long international academic mobility program under the Erasmus+ initiative at the University of Girona (Universitat de Girona, Spain), running from 2 February  to 1 July, 2026.

The study period enabled the student to master European media production standards, expand practical expertise, and engage in intercultural communication within an international academic setting. Studying at the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Girona, she applied modern methodologies to analyze real-world business cases and develop media projects. Throughout the semester, Anna Kravchuk completed coursework in marketing fundamentals, transmedia advertising campaigns, city branding, strategic marketing, and new product commercialization, alongside language and culture courses in Spanish and Catalan.

Research activity formed an integral part of this academic mobility experience. Anna Kravchuk contributed to empirical data collection for a study led by Tetiana Yezhyzhanska, Senior Lecturer at Grinchenko University's Department of Media Production and Publishing, focusing on the functioning of the book market and the analysis of the traditional Catalan festival of Sant Jordi.

Cultural diplomacy and the representation of the Ukrainian context received dedicated emphasis throughout her stay in Spain. During classroom discussions and group projects, Kravchuk highlighted the role of media and the challenges posed by the war in Ukraine, integrating Ukrainian perspectives into European academic discourse. This international environment fostered professional competencies, enhanced language skills, and broadened her career outlook within the European media landscape.

The implementation of such academic mobility programs opens new horizons for Grinchenko University students, reaffirms their competitiveness, and advances the University's integration into the European educational community.
