Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University actively works in the sphere of international cooperation, expanding the number of partners around the world. In early March were signed two agreements on international cooperation with Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania) and Jan Długosz University of Częstochowa (Częstochowa, Poland).

Mykolas Romeris University – higher educational institution in Vilnius, which has about 17,000 students. Mykolas Romeris University has five faculties: Faculty of Economics and Management, Finance, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Policy and Management, Faculty of Social Technologies, Faculty of Public Safety, which include 13 institutes, 9 faculties and Business and Media School.

Jan Długosz University of Częstochowa ismodern public higher educational institution with 40 years history. The University systematically monitors current trends in the labor market and change educational process in accordance with modern requirements, taking into account the development of Western and Eastern Europe, allowing academic institutions to be one of the best scientific and teaching centers of modern Poland.

Within the framework of agreements on international cooperation is planned program of academic mobility for students (more at link) and teachers.

The initiators of signing the agreements with Jan Długosz University of nCzęstochowa were Director of the Institute of Journalism Halyna Horbenko and the Mykolas Romeris University – Head of the Chair of Fitness and Recreation Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports – Andrij Boliak.

New Year Grinchenko University starts with new research and educational project! On 31st January was the meeting of the working group of the project “Development of competencies for democratic citizenship in the system of training future teachers”, which will be implemented at the University together with the European Wergeland Centre and the Center for Educational Monitoring.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.

The benefits for our University as a member of the Association are as follows:

- We get access to Association services and benefit from their work.

- We can add our voice to the debate on adult education and actively support the advocacy work for adult education in Europe.

- We join a network of more than 120 associations from across Europe and more than 120 associations from across Europe.

- We can join EAEA events and share information and experiences in the educational issues.
